Does he feel the same way?

I have a crush on one of my closest friends (he's a year younger than me). I've told him that I like him and i asked him if he liked me more than just friends as well. He said that he did, but didn't want to bring me down from friends my own age, i then asked him to elaborate and he said that he likes me more than friends in the sense of more of best friends. But, he comes to my house often, he hugs me goodbye, says i love you constantly, texts me heart, compliments me randomly, stares at me in the eyes (and when i notice he doesn't avert his eyes, but gaze into each others eyes for a brief moment), and he does many other things as well that just confuse me. Does he (based on information given) feel the same way about me?
