Will my hair grow back the way it looked before i got it cut short ?

im a guy and my hair wasn't too long,about 2 inches and a half. i had wings ish and like side bangs. then i got a pretty short hair cut. i miss my old hair, will it grow back the way it did before? and i have pretty thin hair if that info helps more. thanks !
