Small dilemma(help)..?

Ok, so this is kinda unimportant and most people dont really give a crap but I just need an opinion. Please be nice because I really don't need the mean comments. Thanks(; so- I'm going to be a freshman in hs this yr and I kind of want to change my look a little. So I was thinking of growing my hair out and getting side bangs (I had that hair style in 6th grade but I was sporty and putting my hair in a ponytail was a pain and I hated the hair in my face) but im hesitating getting it because my sister pressures me into getting them. She tells me I look ugly and my face looks deformed and shes ashamed to be my sister if I don't get them (*****? (; ) and that makes me not want the bangs. I guess im being stubborn, but I dont want to hide my face. I don't want to kinda... Go down to her level.... What should I do? Thanks in advance
