What color highlights should i get?

I have dark brown hair (so it looks black) and and tan skin (a little darker than tan actualy). my eyes are black too. my hair is layered and an inch or two beneath my shoulders. i have side-swept bangs. im 12 so nothing to flashy (maybe just one or two colors?) im not sure i really want to bleach my hair since im only going to get semi-permanent highlights. =)
