Should i start using this please answer?

Well i'm a guy and my hair touches my collar and covers my eyes and ears and while the school year was going my home and careers teacher made me put my bangs up in a ponytail to keep them from falling into the food. should i start using the ponytails regularly now that it's summer and hot out?
