Using castor oil and dandruff shampoo?

If I put castor oil in every other day and wash it out with dandruff shampoo. the head and shoulders shampoo. Ive been told castor oil helps thicken hair and open your pores for a healthier look. But to only use it every other day because its so oily. I messed up my bangs while cutting them with the razor and i also really want at least 4 inches back on my hair but it grows super slow. So will using castor oil and washing it out in 30 minutes every other night help it grow faster? using both products will maybe grow it faster then just using dandruff shampoo? thanks
